Frequently Asked Questions Which scopes does the Medium cover fit? The cover is designed for rifle scopes up to 30.5 cm in length and up to 44 mm objective size. Is the Medium size suitable for a 3–9×40 scope? Generally, 3–9×40 is among the typical use cases for this size, but the actual length and external diameter of the scope should be measured. Does the cover fit a 4–16×44 scope? The manufacturer lists 4–16×44 as one possible example. However, due to installed lens caps and tall turrets, actual fit may vary for specific models. Is the neoprene cover waterproof? The cover provides limited protection against splashes and moisture, but does not make the optic fully waterproof. Should the cover be removed before shooting? Yes. Remove the cover before using the firearm and ensure the optic lenses and all controls are unobstructed. When is the Allen Neoprene Scope Cover Medium the right choice? Medium is the right choice for standard hunting rifle optics with a length not exceeding approximately 30.5 cm and an objective size up to 44 mm. Common examples include 3–9×40, 4–12×40, 6–18×42, 4–12×44, and 3–15×44. For longer scopes, 50–56 mm objectives, or scopes with bulky lens caps, choose the Large size. A cover that is too tight may put pressure on adjustment turrets and lens covers. Recommendations We recommend measuring the optic together with any lens covers you use. If the scope is exactly at the upper limit of the Medium size or the cover needs to be stretched tightly, the Large size is often a safer choice. Before installing the cover, clean both the optic and the inner surface of the neoprene. After use in the rain, remove the cover, dry the optic, and let the cover air dry separately. This prevents moisture from remaining against the optic body for extended periods. Compact protective cover for standard hunting scopes The Allen Neoprene Scope Cover Medium combines a stretch fit, light padding, and a reversible black-camouflage design. It is a practical extra layer of protection for optics with up to 44 mm objective lenses—in the gun cabinet, in your bag, and out hunting.
